This live edge table is made from a beautiful slab of salvaged cedar atop steel hairpin legs. The slab has several unique details which add to its character, including several small cracks in the surface, a reddish band that runs down one side, and its wide, sloping sides. 

The slab measures 28 inches long, 25 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. The table is 21.5 inches tall. 

This salvaged slab was acquired from a mill in Half Moon Bay, CA, leveled with a router on a sled, and then sanded through several grits of sandpaper to a silky smooth feel. Once the sanding was done, it was finished with three coats of a high quality oil based wood finish and stabilizer, and one coat of hard wax. The oil and wax is made using only natural ingredients, is food safe, and solvent free, meaning it’s safe for everyone in your home.
